To birth a drum is to call a spirit into being. In ceremony we weave together hide and wood, prayer, gratitude and intention - until a living ally is born. Each drum carries its own voice and medicine, walking with you as a companion between worlds.

We begin by honouring the spirits of hide and wood through gratitude and prayer. You’ll be guided to connect with these beings as conscious allies in the birthing of your drum, grounding the work in respect, relationship, and reciprocity.
Guided Shamanic Journeying
You’ll be gently guided into shamanic journeying to meet the spirit of your drum and the allies who step forward to support its creation. These journeys offer insight, guidance, and a deeper understanding of the medicine your drum carries.
Drum Lacing & Ceremony
Learn the practical art of lacing your drum from start to finish, held within ceremony. Each knot is tied with intention, prayer, and presence, weaving craft and spirit together as your drum takes form.
Calling in the Spirit of Your Drum
Through guided shamanic journeying and ceremony, you’ll call the spirit of your drum fully into being. This is often where its name, character, and wisdom are revealed, marking your transition into the role of drum keeper.
